I have lived in West Michigan for over 24 years, and I have had the privilege of meeting thousands of people from the surrounding towns in which I have worked and lived. My memories of these people and places are numerous. Every story is unique, personal, and meaningful to me.
One of my goals in life has been to reach out and serve as many people as I can. Learning from others and their experiences has expanded my life and made it so much more worthwhile. My wife encouraged me years ago to set a notebook on the front office desk of every place I have managed. These notebooks would allow my patients to write a testimony, story, or word of thanks once their physical therapy journey with me ended.
Since then, I have managed numerous physical therapy practices in my 34 years as a therapist, and I have many stories in my 5 volumes of journals. I have hundreds of entries in these journals from my patients and their families. I trust that as I share some of these stories, you will see why I feel as blessed as I do.
To protect the privacy of our patients, I am only using first names and, at times, will change names to make sure I am respecting the rights of all. Thank you for reading my stories.
